ICMA-EduAfrik Scholars Program: Call For Judges (Submissions due by September 4, 2026)
The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and Education African Scholars Global Connect (EduAfrik) have joined together to launch the ICMA–EduAfrik Scholars Program: a competition and structured opportunity for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students in Africa to present research on and/or practical experience responding to real public service challenges, in the PechaKucha presentation format (20 slides, 20 seconds each, 6 minutes 40 seconds total). Finalists will be formally invited to present at the 2027 ICMA Annual Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (September 25–29, 2027), with their work disseminated through ICMA and EduAfrik communication channels. We are now recruiting a Review Committee of professors, researchers, and practitioners from both Africa and the United States to evaluate student submissions and help select finalists and winners. There will be two rounds of review in the period of January - March 2027, which you as a judge will be tasked to support.
