Hello and thank you for your interest!
Cal-ICMA supports a series of standing and ad-hoc Committees and may introduce or dissolve Task Forces based on its evolving needs. Each Committee or Task Force is populated by Cal-ICMA members, with roles and responsibilities determined by the President and/or the Board.
Selection of members emphasizes balanced representation — considering factors like agency size, geographical location, and membership type (such as city, county, special districts, and academic). Diversity is a paramount consideration, including aspects like gender, age, ethnicity, and background.
Terms for Committee members align with the Cal-ICMA Board terms which run from February through February of each year in line with the Cal-Cities City Manager's Department Annual Meeting. Up-to-date details on all committees and task forces are accessible on the Cal-ICMA website.
Volunteer efforts commence in the fall and you will be contacted at that time for your interested committee, thank you.
